ASMI youth sports recommendations offers reasoned and moderate “rule-of-thumb” advice for pitchers, and suggestions for diagnostic video that will serve your college tape work as well. From the American Sports Medicine Institute.

Dead link mysportsguru.com features virtual lessons in various aspects of game-time execution. A quality, simple to follow and fairly complete survey course. Some parts are internally inconsistant and a little self-contradictory, probably a result of multiple sources - as always, you have to internalize and make it all make sense.

Sports Safety, injury prevention and long-term preventative practice is featured at this site from the National Center for Sports Safety. Research from the same group. Very interesting, analytical, diagnostic.

John Skilton’s links, an excellent collection with a serious college section, tryout and recruiting tournament listing, some highschool links, etc.

Dead link - High School Baseball Web - a great resource for advice to high-school players. The “lay of the land” at the high-school level. Of particular interest is the “recruiting timeline” which has many dates and deadlines for the 4 high-school years.

An Exercise program, from a conservative source (The American Sports and Medicine Institute, see above), for the arm and shoulder.

The Sandalady. This woman has been paying attention, and I suspect knows her stuff. Your tools include the leather, the wood, your mind, and your body. If only as a model for giving attention to the toolset, check her out.
