Finish typically involves a step with the pivot foot to stop forward momentum. It should be more or less toward the target, with yet another short step to neutral, square to the hitter. In real life,
most finishes are with one step, but be certain that in giving up the second step you do NOT collapse the hip or reduce hip rotation. I prefer complete commitment to the target, requiring a second step to stop
momentum and recover a square stance.
